Apple Valley Firefighters have historically been hired through a process that occurs approximately every 12-18 months. Residents that are hired as a paid-on-call volunteer firefighter make an enormous commitment to their community. This commitment begins with a review of applicants, including an information packed orientation session and written aptitude test, and ends with a selection process after oral interviews and firefighter physical and agility testing.
