Severe Weather Preparedness
In Apple Valley, sirens are sounded whenever a severe thunderstorm warning or a tornado warning is issued by the National Weather Service for the Apple Valley area. Sirens are not sounded for tornado or thunderstorm watches or to signal that the warning is clear.
