The Apple Valley Fire Department Explorer program is open to youth who have graduated 8th grade and are between 14 and 21 years of age.
Apple Valley Firefighters share their time and knowledge to offer hands-on career exploration opportunities and the ability to grow leadership skills to the members of the Explorer group.
Explorers learn about many of the basic skills of firefighting; Gear Donning and Doffing, CPR, Vehicle Extrication, Ladder Raising, Search and Rescue Techniques, and more!
Meetings are held every other Sunday at Fire Station 2.
