The City of Apple Valley will be completing pond enhancements at pond EVR-P11 located within Moeller park between Upper 136th St Court and 136th St Court. The project is currently planned for 2024. The project will require survey work and markings to determine existing conditions and utilities around the site, as well as soil borings and pond sediment sampling. Stormwater improvements will help improve water quality entering into Long Lake, an impaired water body. The City received a $115,331 grant through the Watershed Based Implementation Fund, a derivative of the Clean Water Land and Legacy Amendment to complete this project. The City will keep the public informed prior to any future pond improvements occurring, including holding public meetings prior to the project.
