Exciting news — we’re making changes at our three fire stations for health and safety improvements! These improvements will help our brave firefighters continue to serve our community for years to come.
Fire Stations 1 and 3 will be receiving upgrades, while Fire Station 2 is receiving a complete remodel. The City is funding these projects through 2021 facilities capital improvement project bonds.

All work at station #1 is complete and the fire department is enjoying a new healthier space for their gear and their fitness.
Improvements at Fire Sation 1 included the build-out of the new enclosed turnout gear area and fitness area. This included the construction of new masonry walls, modifications to the HVAC system, and the reconfiguration of other mechanical equipment.
Work is being done to finish the footings and foundations for the entire building. You will begin to see the elevator shaft along with exterior masonry walls going up and the building taking shape. All this will be occurring while a portion of the old station #2 stays in place to continue to allow response out of this location during construction.
The exterior work of infilling the exterior overhead door is complete for station #3 with workers now moving inside to complete the new turnout gear space and all new epoxy flooring throughout the station.
