Did you know that City ordinance prohibits parking on public streets during City snow removal operations?
After a significant snow fall event, City snow plow crews are dispatched to clear all neighborhood and arterial streets in the City. Snow removal operations frequently occur between 3 and 6 AM, when parking on public streets is prohibited by City ordinance. All vehicles must be removed from City streets whenever City snow removal efforts are taking place. Please ensure your vehicles are removed from the public street during City snow removal operations to ensure timely, efficient, and thorough clearing of City streets. You may also save yourself the burden and expense of a parking ticket.
In an effort to avoid citing residents for parking infractions as much as possible, Code Enforcement is dispatched to alert residents of City snow removal operations in their area. This allows residents time to remove their cars from the street ahead of the snow plows. Please remember that parking on City streets between 3 and 6 AM is prohibited. Residents and property owners should also refer to the City’s main webpage for updates on snow removal activities in the City (Link provided below).
