In order to protect the character and tranquility of residential neighborhoods throughout the City, the City of Apple Valley restricts the total number of passenger vehicles that may be parked outside at a residential property to four (4) at any time.
No more than a total four (4) passenger vehicles may be parked outside on a residential property at any time. A residential parking permit, however, can be obtained through the City’s Planning Division that would allow up to, but no more than 6 passenger vehicles. All vehicles parked on residential properties must still comply with parking surface requirements, and be parked on an approved hard surface such as concrete, asphalt, or pavers. Recreational vehicles and trailers of any type do not apply to the four (4)/six (6) vehicle maximum requirements.
Applications for a Residential Parking Permit can be obtained on the City’s website, or by following the link below and should be submitted to the Apple Valley Planning Division. Permits must be renewed on an annual basis and cost $30.00.
