[ARCHIVED] Protect your home from disastrous and costly freeze damage this winter!

ice covered outdoor water spicket

Prevent freeze damage at your property and in your neighborhood this winter. Consider shutting your water off while you're away.

If you plan to leave your home on vacation for an extended period of time this winter, you might want to consider shutting the water off (at the meter) in case the heat goes out while you’re away. This simple act will minimize the amount of water damage to your home in the event of a burst pipe. For extended absences you may also wish to request a shut off by the City at our connection by completing the form at the link below.

Additionally, if you are aware of any vacant properties in your neighborhood please report such properties to the Code Enforcement, so we can note and address any neglected maintenance needs.

With questions or concerns or to report a vacant property in your neighborhood please contact Apple Valley Code Enforcement by email at; or by phone at 952.953.2571.
