As a resident of the City of Apple Valley and Dakota County you have numerous options available to you for disposal of yard waste and unwanted household items. Yard waste can be disposed of by transporting the material to the mulch store located in Burnsville. Unwanted items including house hold appliances, furniture, construction debris, etc. can be dropped off at numerous collections sites, or arranged for special pick-up through your trash hauler. Discarded items such as furniture may not be placed outside on private property or in boulevard areas for “FREE” collection.
